Blue Career Days took place in Varna

Blue Career Days took place in Varna on January 31 - February 1, 2018. The event, organized by Marine Cluster Bulgaria, gathered more than 300 participants, interested in the development of key maritime sectors in the country and training of staff for these sectors - students, postdraduates, representatives of educational institutions and business.
Mrs. Ilse Atanasova, Chair of the Board of Marine Cluster Bulgaria highlighted in her opening speech the importance of the Blue Growth for the prosperity of coastal regions and the need for trained qualified personnel. Mr. Karagyozov- Deputy Governor, Mrs. Dzhedzheva-representative of EA "Maritime Administration" - Varna, Mrs. Dimova- Deputy Rector of Technical University of Varna and Capt. I r. Borisov- Deputy Head of Naval Academy "N. Y. Vaptsarov " greeted the participants.
During the two days of the event, the opportunities for education, training and professional development in sectors such as maritime transport (shipping, ports, shipbuilding and ship repair), cruise tourism, marine aquaculture and offshore oil and gas were presented to the audience.
Professionals from the "Blue" sectors introduced the prospects for career development and the requirements candidates should meet. Promotional videos showcased the variety of professions.
Representatives of the National Technical University of Athens, Agricultural University of Athens and MARINEM - Cyprus, participated in the forum, as partners of MENTOR project.
