BlueDial Transnational Event: Strategic Approaches to Blue Economy GovernanceOn 10 September 2026, the BlueDial Transnational Online Event “Strategic Approaches to Blue Economy Governance” brought together public authorities, research and academia, industry, institutions, NGOs and other Blue Economy stakeholders. The event provided a platform for exchanging experience and good practices in Blue Economy governance, with a particular focus on identifying approaches and mechanisms that could be transferred and adapted to the Black Sea region. Discussions addressed national, regional and local governance models, multi-level coordination, stakeholder engagement and the transition from strategy to practical implementation. The panel featured Claude Sirois from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Québec, Canada, Carlo Kraskovic from Mare FVG, Italy, and Kristjan Truu from the Ministry of Climate of Estonia. Their contributions presented different perspectives and practical experiences in developing and coordinating Blue Economy policies. The presentations were followed by an interactive stakeholder discussion and Q&A session, allowing participants to explore the key elements of effective Blue Economy strategies, transferable governance mechanisms and opportunities for stronger cooperation and policy coordination in the Black Sea region. We sincerely thank all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions and active engagement.
