Third Joint Transnational Call for Research & Innovation (R&I) Funding

1. Ocean Digital Twins (DTOs) at sub-basin level

2. Transformation of blue economy sectors and development of joint, multifunctional maritime infrastructures

3. Planning and management of marine uses at regional level with a focus on climate intelligence

4. Blue bioresources: sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, new bio-based products

5. Sustainable coastal communities and enterprises

Deadline for preliminary proposals: 17 November 2025, 15:00 CET
Deadline for full proposals: 17 June 2026, 15:00 CEST

Projects must include partners from at least three different countries and cover at least two different EU marine basins. Participation of end-users, including SMEs, industrial organizations, authorities, public administrations, and civil society organizations, is strongly encouraged.

The call is co-financed by 38 organizations from 28 countries, including Bulgaria, and is part of the EU’s effort to achieve climate neutrality and sustainable development of the blue economy by 2030.
