
The call for project proposals for the seventh session of EUROSTARS-3 is now openThe competition is part of the European Partnership for Innovative Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and is funded by the Horizon Europe program.SMEs (as leading partners) can apply in consortia with large enterprises, universities, research organizations, and others. The idea is to encourage international cooperation, and consortia usually include 3-4 partners.
The average value of a EUROSTARS-3 project is €1.4 million. The average success rate of the projects is 29%.
The program's activities in Bulgaria are coordinated by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), which covers up to 80% of the project funds through the National Innovation Fund (NIF). Bulgarian participants must cover at least 20% of the project cost. A single Bulgarian participant can receive up to €100,000.
